At Livability Media, a division of Journal Communications, we help our chamber of commerce and economic development clients attract talent and tell their community’s stories through custom print and digital content programs. We’re looking to grow our Business Development team with a new Business Development Executive passionate about places. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact in the economic development space, as well as help grow our Livability business and brand, by recruiting clients.
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and making cold calls and/or experience in the chamber of commerce, economic development or city government space. In this role, communication through technology is key to cultivating strong relationships with prospects, from first contact until you close the deal.
This is a preferably a hybrid work position in which you will work both remotely and from our office. A fully remote arrangement may be possible for the right candidate. If you are motivated, results-driven and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you. If you’re experienced in our client industries, that’s even better. To be successful in this role, collaboration between our marketing and sales teams are essential as well as strong business acumen and research skills.

What You Bring to the Table:
Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
Experience with CRM software
Ability to deliver engaging and professional Zoom presentations
Ability to build client relationships
Experience and/or connections in the chamber of commerce, economic development or city government space would be a plus
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Valid driver's license
